Paper and Board making machines

The fibres in the pulp are mixed with water and pre-treated – beaten in a suitable way. This part of the process is called stock preparation. The stock is diluted with even more water from the paper machine and sprayed out onto an endless permeable plastic belt/wire, so that it is evenly distributed. The stock flows on the wire and the water is removed and the formation of the paper sheet commences. From the wire the sheet passes through a series of rotating rolls, where any remaining water is removed.
